What is the Annual Notice of Change Period?

Overview:

The Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) period occurs every year and runs from September 30th to October 15th. During this period, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plan providers must notify their members about any changes to their plans’ costs, benefits, or rules for the following year.

ANOC FAQs:

When will I get my Notice?

September.

Who will it come from?

The Notice will come from your plan provider.

When do any changes become effective?

January 1st following receipt of the Notice.

What changes might occur?

The ANOC may communicate changes in your coverage, deductibles, copayments, provider networks, or other services.

What should I do if I receive a Notice?

Review any changes carefully and make sure your plan will still meet your needs. If it does not, you can make changes during the Annual Enrollment Period (AEP), which occurs from October 15th to December 7th of each year.

If you are satisfied with any upcoming changes, no action needs to be taken, and your coverage will automatically renew.

If you do not receive this document, reach out to your provider.
